Noah Macuso: Success story from The Hatchery Summer Incubator
Meet Noah Mancuso, current PhD student in Global Epidemiology, and Queer Health Collaborative (QHC), a diverse group of LGBTQIA+ health professionals combining their lived experiences with their public health expertise to improve the health of queer people everywhere.
"Through Queer Health Collaborative, we are exploring new ways to address the intersectional challenges of the LGBTQIA+ community."
The lack of LGBTQIA+ representation in the health and research setting makes it difficult for them to recruit and retain patients, build trust with vulnerable communities, reach THEIR audience, interpret results without bias, and disseminate findings that will be understood and received well. QHC provides companies with consultants who are not only trained in LGBTQIA+ issues and DEI efforts, but also who have the public health research background to conduct high-quality research.
Durring the Summer Incubator, Mancuso grew the QHC team to 10 consultants and has secured more than $55,000 in contracts.
