We're just off the north edge of campus, across Clifton Road from the CDC.

If this is your first time at The Hatchery, here are some travel guides: 

By foot: We're less than a 10-minute walk from Kaldi's Coffee on Eagle Row. 
By Car: There is a parking deck just opposite our front door on Avenue Place, and we can provide free parking validation for up to 3 hours. 
By Bus: The A, B, CCTMA, and Executive Park buses all pass near The Hatchery on Clifton Road. For more shuttle info go here.
By MARTA: Route 816 and Route 6 all pass by The Hatchery. Route 36 will take you to Emory's Main Campus from Midtown or Decatur.

Our Makerspace has a variety of resources to educate and inspire creativity, including books and other media on innovation and entrepreneurship. Our staff is available during office hours if you would prefer to speak with someone at The Hatchery. You can also check out our resource library in the student portal (emory.edu email address required to access).

The Hatchery is open to all Emory students, faculty and staff to work or participate in our programs.

No, all workspaces are on a first come, first served basis.

Yes, we have classrooms, a conference room and an event space available to reserve for events. Please email asaya.besay@emory.edu for more information. 

There are several places to work around Emory's campus, including the Emory Student Center, Cox Hall and the Robert W. Woodruff Library.

The Hatchery supports all kinds of startups, from the idea stage to venture launch. Since we serve all 9 schools at Emory, our startups include a variety of for-profit and nonprofit ventures that have included social justice-focused organizations, AI-powered apps, medical and health technology, mental health initiatives, consumer goods, business services, software and so many more. Our student founders are truly inspiring!

The Hatchery's makerspace is designed to provide the environment, materials and community that innovators need to prototype, build and launch. It contains a variety of resources including sculpting and crafting supplies, a 3D printer, sewing machine, Cricut machine, power and hand tools, a green screen, photo light box, office supplies, a resource library and more.

The makerspace is open to everyone. No reservations are needed and all resources are free to use. 

Yes, Cox Hall has both TechLab and ArtsLab with resources that are free to use onsite. 

The Hatchery offers lockers and a cafe with a coffee machine, ice machine and sparkling water machine. All amenities are free. We just ask that you bring your own cups, as we are an Emory-certified Green Office and do not offer single-use cups.
